Sports Communication Association Legend Smile believes that communication creates athletes' confidence in themselves, trust in their teammates and an environment in which everyone feels empowered. With the vision for a future in which the potential of everyone involved converges, we offer comprehensive support for sports communication to athletes, teams, and schools. 

Our experience includes supporting Olympic athletes, teams competing in national championships, and public sports projects.

What is ”Comprehensive Support” by Legend Smile？

Legend Smile's coordinators and specialists in key areas of sport ーphysical training, nutrition and diet, treatment and mental coachingー work together to support the holistic development of strong athletes who think and act proactively. With this comprehensive approach and the creation of an environment that nurtures athletes, directors and coaches can focus on their primary tasks i.e., team management, strategy development, supervision or recruitment of new athletes.

1 Support for directors and coaches

Legend Smile provides comprehensive assistance in creating an environment in which the directors/coaches can concentrate on their primary responsibilities, such as team management, strategising, coaching and recruiting new athletes.

Based on detailed one-to-one interviews to understand the needs and thoughts of the directors, we support them with goal-setting and planning, provision of external specialists to help the team tackle the challenges, and multiple approaches to achieving the team’s goals.

2 Provision of sports experts to the respective teams

Legend Smile arranges seminars and support for directors by specialists who share athletic and sports knowledge and practical methods in order to assist directores, coaches and athletes in solving problems and achieving their goals. The specialists in four areas ーphysical training, nutrition and diet, treatment and mental coachingー facilitate the development of individual athletes and the team as a whole.

3 Individual support for athletes

Legend Smile conducts questionnaires and individual meetings (one-to-one interviews) regarding their current situation, team and personal challenges, goals, etc.

Born in Tokyo, Kumiko has enjoyed a variety of sports since childhood, including swimming, baton, figure skating and volleyball. After working in a company for a few years, she went to the U.S. to study at a university, where she joined the university's volleyball team and was awarded the best player of the year on campus. Upon graduation, she stayed in the USA and worked for a Japanese company in Washington, D.C., until returning to Japan in 2007.

As a mother of twin volleyball-playing daughters, Kumiko became interested in sports communications that can change how children perceive sports. She learned coaching at Team Flow Inc. and completed the course in sports coaching in 2006. As a sports mental coach certified by Field Flow Inc, she has worked professionally with approximately 1,300 people (approximately 2,000 hours in total), including athletes from primary school students to Olympic athletes, teams, coaches and parents. Her coaching expertise extends across a diverse range of sports, such as baseball, ice hockey, sailing, volleyball, soccer, tennis, golf, and more.
